Jesus is survived by his wife, Venancia Silverio; daughter, Maria Hernandez; and grandchildren, Alexander and Vanessa. He was preceded in death by his father.
Jesus was born on June 24, 1953 in Dominican Republic to parents, Raymundo Mendez and Amantina Pena. He graduated from OIM University with a degree in Accounting. Jesus moved to New York in 1990 and then to Florida in 2002. He worked for over 18 years at Sterling Elementary School as a Maintenance Worker for Broward County.
Jesus was a great family man and a loving father and grandfather. He was a true workaholic who enjoyed playing dominoes and spending time with his family.
He will be dearly missed.
