Joanne Ness, age 80, of Davie, Florida passed away on Wednesday August 29, 2018. Joanne was born October 18, 1937 in Double Springs, Alabama to Ora Blanton Mize and Gordon G. Mize. Joanne was married to Leroy Achemire in 1958 and then to Frank Earl Ness in 1973.
Joanne graduated from Fort Lauderdale, High School and earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She had a career in office administration and worked for Kam Machine Shop for over 30 years. Joanne also worked at Davie Methodist Church and started the first kindergarten class. Joanne had a passion for her family.
She is survived by Leanne Sullivan and husband Steve Sullivan. Grandchild Stephanie Corona and her husband Antonio Corona. One great grandchild Kase Corona. Siblings Skip Mize, Candy Mize (sister-in-law), Bettiann Mize (sister-in-law) and many nieces and nephews that will truly miss her.
An entombment for Joanne will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home South, 2401 Davie Road, Davie, Florida 33317.
