John Clarence Hart
October 1, 1933 – June 30, 2018
John C. Hart, of Fort Lauderdale and formerly of Brooklyn, NY, Albany, NY and Keesville, NY, passed away into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Broward Health Medical Center. John was born in Keesville, NY, a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Murray) Hart, and brother of the late William “Bill” Hart. John is survived by his sister-in-law, Rita M. Hart of Margate, FL, his niece, Donna Hart-Haggard of Georgetown, Ohio, his great nephew, John Paul Haggard and great niece, Kristina Haggard and many loving friends. John served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years followed by 4 years in the U.S. Army and saw a great deal of the world. He started his civilian career as a management trainee with Bond Stores in Albany, NY and subsequently transferred to Brooklyn, NY. He then joined American Express in New York City and spent 15 years as an executive of Amex in New York, Phoenix and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In the mid 1970’s, John opened East Side Realty in Fort Lauderdale, which he operated for over 30 years. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 12:30 – 1:30 at the Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Committal prayers will follow at 2:00 at Lauderdale Memorial Park, at 2001 SW 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale. Knew John for several years. A great guy with a fabulous sense of humor and a good friend to many. He enjoyed those friends as well as his bridge club and his cats. RIP John
