All that knew John , knew that he had a kind spirit. That was my first thought. John and I became friends from our business endeavors. He was selling and I was buying. Afterwards we just grew to like each others company. We played golf, went fishing and enjoyed hunting when ever possible. I will see my brother again on the Day of our  resurrection , and we will be united again .

Today We said goodbye to our John.  My heart goes out to all that loved John . He was loved by so many around the world. For anyone that was in his presence was imprinted with a love that can not be explained, but felt deeply.  He always made me smile even in my darkest times. We never got to go rock & arrowhead hunting on his creek as planned but I know he will be watching over me as I go. He loved his family so much, he talked about them every time we spoke. I knew them though some I never met. Kathy was the love of his life, he could not say her name without smiling. Life will never be the same on earth without my Brother John. I know he will be watching over all of Us and I will remember his smile every time I see a Japanese Maple.

When we heard of John’s passing, we stood gazing at each other in bewilderment.  John  was a delightful, funny and enjoyable friend that we will always remember.   We extend our prayers and thoughts to Kathy and the rest of the family and we pray that God will give you Peace and assurance during this difficult time.    Jane and Wes Lee

I've known John almost the entirety of my life, the Haynies/Gribbles & Taylors were the family friends that followed each other through the years. John was the big-hearted funny guy who loved to tease his sisters and wrestle with his brother. The fact that he grew up to be such a gentle giant was proof of balance in life... much credit to his beautiful wife and his best friend, Kathy.  He was a lucky guy but we were the lucky ones to have him in this life. He will be missed.

A wonderful dad and father in law, kind soul with a giving heart!  What is the Kingdom of God like?  What shall I compare it to? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden.  It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches! Luke 13 18-19
