Johnny (John) Franklin Hudson, 78, of Sunrise, FL (October 18, 1937 – August 22, 2016), passed away after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease. A Korean War veteran, born in West Virginia to a large and loving family, he was a longtime Broward County, FL resident. He retired as a mechanic from Eastern Airlines and was one of the founders of the Broward County Fair.
Always loved and respected as a gentle giant, he was a formidable force, but all about love of family and friends. Johnny is predeceased by his beloved wife, Hisako, and his daughter, JoAnn Smith, and is survived by his loving daughter, Janet Hudson.
A celebration of Johnny’s life will held at Dignity Memorial, Forest Lawn South, 2401 Davie Road, Davie, FL 33317 on Saturday September 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The family would like to extend a grateful thank you to all the wonderful caregivers who were a part of his life.
