Joseph J Machonis Jr.

Joseph J. Machonis Jr. is survived by his wife, Najla Machonis, of 43 years and his children Cheryl Devio, Joseph Machonis III, John Machonis and Melissa Farokhina. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Lamoureux and his daughter Ann Marie Long.

Joseph J. Machonis Jr. was born Massachusetts to his parents Ruth Alice Machonis and Joseph John Machonis Sr. After High School he joined the United States Air Force and served for 21 years. After the service he went into hospitality with Marriott, worked in real estate and also worked for the United States Postal Service.

Joseph J. Machonis Jr. was a great family man and a loving father. He married his second wife Najla Nahhas in July 1976, and the couple had one child together, Melissa Farokhina. He had four children with Dorothy Lamoureux, his first wife: Ann Marie Long, Cheryl Devio, Joseph Machonis III, and John Machonis.

Joseph J. Machonis Jr. was an active man involved in his church, St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and broadening his horizons through books and through his computer. His family and friends will always remember him as being as loving spouse and father, generous, caring, and knowledgeable. Always guiding and educating the family.

He will be buried at Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, Virgina.
