Born in Detroit, Michigan, Joe was the son of the late Andrew and Hilda June (Niewoit) Malewicz, and was raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. For 25 years, Joey as he was called was married to Mary L. Morden. As a couple, Joe and Mary were inseparable, they were together 24/7. Joe adored his wife and Mary brought a smile to his face. Joe enjoyed his summers in Michigan and his Florida winters. Joe loved Mary’s cooking and especially her opera singing. Joe was a master at Gimlets. Joe traveled around the country to boat shows, auto shows and Indy Car Races, designing displays for the shows. He was a very talented man .
Joe is survived by his daughter, Laura (Malewicz) Tocco; his granddaughter, Victoria Tocco; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Malewicz; his sisters and brother-in-laws, Rosana and Russell Achatz and Diana and Richard Irons; his canine companion Gunner his scottie. Many nieces, nephews and inlaws. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Malewicz.
The family will honor and celebrate Joe’s life at a later date and time.
