Julie Christine Day

Born on May 6, 1969 in Binghamton, New York, Julie was the daughter of James and Millicent Moffitt. Julie was raised and educated in Binghamton and later received her Associates Degree in Marketing. On May 29, 2005, Julie was married to Kelly Day. They were best friends who became lovers. Sharing a love of sports, food and family time. They did everything together. Julie owned and operated her own business as a hairdresser. She eventually retired from doing hair and moved on to help the less fortunate. She loved helping people and getting to know them. She loved her regular clients and eventually, provided cheap or free services to those in need. Julie loved making people feel good about themselves whether it was through the Sober House or just helping the homeless. Julie was catholic and so enjoyed going to church during the holidays.

Julie loved to cook, and baking her homemade cookies and mudslide pie, sewing and go fishing. She loved all sports especially the Marlins and the Miami Dolphin games.

Julie is survived by her husband, Robert “Kelly” Day; her father, James Moffitt; her children, Jessica Day and Robert “Bubby” Day; her siblings, Kathi Belcher, Tom Moffitt and David Moffitt; her nieces and nephews, Hanna, Olina, Aiden and Max Belcher, Charlie and Bella Moffitt, Jared and Casey Moffitt and Robert and Ashley Day; her friends, Marybeth, Kim, Julia Jones and Susan Whelan. Julie was predeceased by her mom, Millie Moffitt.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 at the Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Sharing of Memories will take place at 7:00.
