He is survived by his wife and their five children, and his mother and father as well as many family and friends and a flippant cat.
Justin was born on November 14th, 1974 in Santa Monica, California, to parents JoAnne and Gary. He was an outstanding student and top of his class. A talented artist, he moved to Florida in 1998 and graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 2001 with honors and a degree in Applied Science, Media Arts and Animation. He was a graphic artist, teacher and finally accepted a position as a Project Coordinator at Metropolitan Delivery Service, Inc., where he worked for more than five years.
Justin was a great family man and a loving father. He married Stacy in 1998 and the couple had five beautiful children together. Justin was a very protective father who played an active role in his children’s lives. He was a devoted husband and it was evident how well suited he was for her.
Justin was a fun, boisterous, active bear of a man who was deeply involved in volunteering with this wife for the majority of his life. He also served as an elder in his church and enjoyed molding young minds as a Tae Kwon Do instructor. He enjoyed painting miniatures, martial arts, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends and family. His loved ones will always remember him as a snarky, funny, and deeply caring human being with a strong sense of justice.
A virtual celebration of life is scheduled for him on Saturday, April 24th at 4 o’clock pm ETD via Facebook Live. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Justin’s life. The family would like to thank everyone who has called, emailed, written, sent flowers and food, visited, and shown support to them during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory with a donation to National Public Radio, the International Dark-Sky Association, Feeding America, the American Heart Association, or The National MS Society.
Justin will be dearly missed.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home South in Davie, Florida.
