Kao Keng Shone Chang

母親—張高桂香，民國五年農曆一月三十日，生於山東省高密縣，父諱潤生，母楊氏惠民，育子女三人，母親排行長女。於二十三歲時嫁予先父張紹武，育有子女五人，並於中年時蒙神撿選，領洗皈依基督。

母親於一九四九年隨其父母及先父由山東遷屣台灣，一九八一年移民美國，於一九八四年在德州愛博鈴市(Abilene, Texas)定居，於一九九一年遷居佛州珊瑚泉市(Coral Springs, Florida); 母親性情溫和良善，在其一生所居之處，皆與人建立深厚且良好的互動關係，且因她待人誠懇，敦厚熱情而倍受大家的稱許及肯定。

母親生性堅強，其堅韌不跋的精神，在從中國山東遷移台灣的艱辛過程中体現無遺，同時，她深愛子女，扶育五位子女長大成人後，更本著歡喜快樂的心，竭力照顧孫子及孫女即至各個長大成人，可謂功勞卓絕，足堪為我後輩之模範楷模也。

Biography

Beloved mother and grandmother, Kao Keng Shone Chang, was born on January 30, 1916 in Shandong, China. The first of three children, Kao was taught the virtues and importance of nurturing a family. This later became the main focus of Kao’s life. At age 25, Kao was arranged to marry Shao Wu Chang and together, they raised five children.

In 1949, Kao followed her husband and parents in immigrating to Taiwan. Then in 1981, to ensure a prosperous future for her children, she followed her son and daughters to the United States. After moving from several locations, the family settled down in Abilene, Texas in 1984. There Kao remained home to raise her grandchildren, during which time she also learned about the salvation of Christ and was baptized as a Christian.

Kao is a loving mother who demonstrated endurance and tenacity. When faced with unfamiliar circumstances, Kao maintained focus in raising her family and ensured the welfare of everyone around her. Ever the matriarch, she never complained, nor shied away from adversity.

She is survived by five healthy children, Hsien-Chin, Su-Chen, Sue-Mei, Shu-Wa, and Su-Ying Chang. Kao is also adored by her seven loving grandchildren, Hsiao-Lei, Tang, Stephanie, Jennifer, James, Howard, and Anthony.

Kao Keng Shone Chang, 98 of Margate, Florida entered into rest on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. A visitation and funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens South the "Pyramid" in Davie, Florida. Kao will truly be missed.
