

A graveside service for Kathleen will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest lawn central Cemetery, 499 NW 27th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311.

Kathleen F. Durrance, 92, of Fort Lauderdale, passed away in her sleep, on March 30th, at the Five Star Premier Residences of Plantation, Assisted Living, in Fort Lauderdale.
Gravesite Services will be held at 10am, Thursday, April 13th, at Forest Lawn, Central, 499 N.W. 27th Avenue. Please arrive between 9:30am and 9:45am. Arrangements are by her daughter, Brenda Ives.
Kathleen was born in Fort Lauderdale to Bennie and Lois Little, on July 30th,1930. She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School, in June 1948. Kathleen is the widow of Paul Edward Durrance, whom she married on February 2nd, 1948. She worked in Food Service Industry for over 25 years for the Broward County School Board.
Kathleen was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Pioneer Organization. She was also a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, in Fort Lauderdale where she sang in the Choir, operated the Health Clinic, and operated the Food Pantry. On December 10th, 2005, Kathleen received an Outstanding Volunteer Award, given by the Gulfstream Baptist Association.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Lois Little, her spouse, Paul Durrance, her daughter, Paula Flanders and Shirley Little, her sister-in-law (brother, Wayne’s wife).
Kathleen is survived by: her daughter, Brenda Ives (Jerry Ives), her son, Bill Durrance (Eileen Durrance), her adopted Son, Charles Flanders (Linda Flanders) and her brother, Wayne Little, his daughters, Lois and Bonnie, and his granddaughter, Jessica. She is survived by six grandchildren: John Ives (Tonya Ives), Heather Gelb (Steve Gelb), Kathleen Day (Tim Day), Justin Durrance, Brittany Durrance, and Taylor Durrance (EJ Morphew). Kathleen is also survived by eight Great Grandchildren: Troy Hildebrandt, Cassie Ives, Cooper Ives, Aria Gelb, Aubrey Gelb, Paul Day, Shawn Day, and Liam Day.
