We will greatly miss Ken. He was a man of great character and always pleasant to speak with. Our most recent memories were spending time with him at Fort White in North Florida. He was a true outdoors man. Loved nature and enjoyed sitting and chatting on his new deck. We will always treasure our visit to Ft. White. He was so hospitable offering us a rum and coke to start our visit.
The rides in the golf cart were so entertaining too.
I am deeply sad for my cousin Mary Lynn. Life was way too short for Ken. I know he is in God's hands now. We will cherish forever all the time spent with Ken and look forward to seeing him again in heaven.
Mary Lynn please know I am here for you. You were a great wife to Ken. Prayers will continue for you. May he rest in Peace.

Much love
Melissa, Brent, Zachary and Katie Sparks

I met Derek nearly 10 years ago because him and my son were connecting on YouTube my son at the time was 12 years old so I wanted to know who this guy was... we were into and still are into big wheels great paint on cars and loud music we hooked up in Gainesville and drove to our first Orlando classic together. we have been friends ever since every time we would visit south Florida we would hook up with Derek. We live in Tallahassee Florida so it was always a special trip to go to South Florida and meet up with him and catch a video and do a car ride out together ... eventually of course we met his family and I became friends with Ken. it was always very cool and very organic big Ken loved the cars and we did a couple of car shows together I remember riding out just last year. what was really awesome was that Derek was friends with me and my sons and I was friends with his dad and his dad was really cool to my kids like we all got along. eventually my wife joined us on these trips and she had a chance to meet Ken and Mary Lynn. Ken will be sorely missed. I loved that there was someone else older than me LOL who loved the cars with big wheels and loud music he wanted me to turn it up when we were together!! We are all greatly saddened by Ken’s passing and want to reach out and send our love thoughts and prayers to Mary Lynn, Derek and Christian and all of his family and friends.

Mary Lynn and Family,

Kenny was my first friend when I moved to FL right out of college in 1986. I will always have many fond memories of how his friendship helped me get settled with Medtronic and learn how to enjoy life in South Florida.

Best wishes to all in the Haas family.
