She was raised a devout Catholic. Her strong foundation for family values was learned early in life, by starting work on the family farm at the age of 8 to help the family and her 5 younger siblings. Widowed at a very young age of 29, she found the strength to persevere and refocus her energy and life to provide the best future for her two sons, John and Emil. She found the strength and courage to immigrate, with her two sons, from Hungary to the US in 1981 to provide for a better life. She settled on Long Island (Ronkonkoma, NY), where she lived the American dream through had work and persistence to buy her own home while successfully instilling the values to guide her sons on the path of success and happiness.
In 2019, she moved to sunny Florida (Delray Beach) to enjoy her well deserved retirement, while welcoming the birth of her first grand child Sophie Laura Szegner (in OH) who she adored and loved immensely. The sacrifices she made to raise and provide a better life for her sons was an inspiration to her family and friends in the US and around the world, including family and friends in Hungary and her daughter in-laws parents and extended family in China.
Loving mother of two sons, whom she unconditionally loved and for whom she devoted her whole life, John and Emil. She is survived by her Daughter in Law, Lei, Grand daughter Sophie Laura, Sisters Elvira and Ilona, Brothers Emil and Stephan.
Preceded in death by her Husband Janos, who was her one and only true love, Sister Ildiko, Brother Laszlo, and mother and father Gizella and Emil.
