One of the sweetest most loyal friends I have ever had. I remember the first few times we met, I didn’t think she liked me. But later I learned that she just had to really get to know you before she opened up and became your friend. We had many fun times together going to the beach going down to the keys with our friends Diane, Carol, Gary, and sometimes Gerry. Great times on the house boat. I am so sorry for her suffering, and I pray that she is in a better place and with no pain and is at peace. Reunited with the friends that have gone on before her.

Laurie, thanks for the memories. As my oldest and a best friend from grade school we are lucky to have enjoyed so many years. We shared summers on Lake Erie beaches. When the sun didn’t bleach our hair you decided a bucket of peroxide was the answer. Your hair turned orange! We had fun camping in the Smokey Mountains (in spite of no dry firewood and the discovery of chiggers) horseback riding, skiing Colorado, and Cedar Point roller coasters.

You were going to be a horticulturist but instead taught English as a second language. You loved your students and your family. You will be missed and not forgotten.

Laurie was one of the smartest people I know. She had the gift of common sense. It is sad to lose such a person in life. She is now no longer suffering. She will be missed.
