Leon Alejandro Gonzalez Betancourt

Leon Alejandro Gonzalez Betancourt, age 88, of Weston, Florida passed away on Saturday December 23, 2017. Leon was born July 17, 1929 in Maracay, Venezuela to Lucina and Francisco Gonzalez. Leon Gonzalez was married to Adelina Gonzalez. Leon Gonzalez graduated from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and earned a degree as an orthopedic medical surgeon and worked for public and private sector in the specialty of orthopedic surgery.

Leon A. Gonzalez B. had a passion for writing poems, reading, traveling and singing.

Leon is survived by; daughter Virginia Gonzalez Marcantel and son-in-law Kevin L Marcantel; son Alejandro Gonzalez; daughter Luz Marina Gonzalez; daughter Patricia Gonzalez Meredith and son on law William Meredith. Grandchildren Rafael, Melanie, Juan and Luz Marina Carabano Gonzalez, Brandon and Alexander Meredith. Siblings Guillermina, Josefina, Carmen Elena, Cesar, Cruz Jose and Eduardo Gonzalez. Great grandchildren Christian and Paula Gorosabel Gonzalez.

A visitation for Leon will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home South, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Davie , Florida 33317.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Davie , Florida 33317.

Leon will truly be missed.
