Leonard A. Wilcox, Jr., 84, resident of John Knox Village, Pompano Beach, FL passed away on September 25, 2014. Beloved husband of Betty for 59 years. Father of Rebecca Dolan (Thomas), Rachel Tak (Eric), and Leonard Abram Wilcox, III (Tracey). Devoted grandfather of Anna, Kate, Maarten, Bram and Abram. Other survivors include sisters Nancy and Linda. Leonard was an Eagle Scout and Retired Captain, United States Naval Reserve. A Detroit native, he earned A.B. and J.D. degrees from the University of Michigan and a M.A. from Tulane University. He practiced law in Detroit for over 40 years. Leonard enjoyed 18 years of retirement in Ft. Lauderdale where he took great pleasure in sharing the beach with his family. The family thanks all the staff at Broward General’s Heart Center of Excellence CVICU Unit 7 for their outstanding care and compassion.
