Hey Pops  There is so much to say Dad,  but I do want you to know that I am doing more than O.K.  As you know, I will always love you.  You will never be forgotten..for your Character, Sense of Humor and for everything you taught me in life.  I know that you thought at times I was not listening, but truthfully I was paying attention to all that you spoke to me.  At times I was being hard headed and had to learn from my mistakes.  I have now learned what LIFE is all about.  I do know that you are looking over me and the family, because I feel your presense from time to time.  I have the picture of the two of us shaking hands over my bed.  I am always talking to you Dad, and I know that you are listening - as you always did.  I feel that you have answered my prayers.  The thing I miss the most is your FUNNY Sense of Humor, but I know you will have me laughing again one day.  You will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN for the incredible father you were to me and you ALWAYS BEING THERE BY MY SIDE.   I will always remember all the good stuff we did together.  We are all going to miss you, Uncle Lenny. You were always the life of the party. As a kid, it made me smile whenever you came around. It usually meant that there was some form of mischief that was going to occur. Most of it was torturing my grandfather (nonno) by having him recite dirty words in English, where as he had no clue to what they meant. I really wish that we all still lived in the same state together and could have spent more time together. We will always hold onto all the fun memories you gave us and you will always be remembered for that. You were more than just an uncle to us. I love you and I will never forget you! We all love you!

Dear Uncle Lenny,
It has been a year, yet it only feels like yesterday that I was talking to you on one of our weekly calls. Everyday I think of you and I think of one of our last conversations...I told you how much I wanted to be with you and you said "Michele, I am always with you, no matter where you are." Those words go through my thoughts each day. I think of when I was a kid and you would come to our house on saturdays to play cards and always call me over, your good luck charm, for a squeeze. Aunt Terry would call and ask you to bring home milk. I remember my Confirmation when you were my sponsor and you sat behind me in church playing with my braid and making me laugh. I was so excited and honored that you came to New York just for me. It meant everything to me. I remember the jokes that we played on Nonno and Nonna, and all the funny stories you told. All the volleyball games in our pool when you came for a visit. All the video we took of teaching Nonno and Nonna "English". I see parts of you in my son Michael and I laugh at how you would be enjoying my kids. I know you are with us, watching and laughing with us,  helping and protecting us. I take comfort knowing you are with Nonno.  I love you with all my heart.

Words can not describe how much I MISS you. I think about you everyday in hope that you hear me and are joking and playing cards with Nonno. You taught me so much in life that it's hard to believe that my teacher is gone.You had an unbelievable Strength Character, Humor and Heart.. My Dearest Lenny...It is sometimes difficult to believe that an entire year has passed since leaving us.  On the 15th - it will be the one year remembrance of you passing over into heaven.  Daniel, Vanessa and I have felt your presence and we definately know you are looking over us.  You have managed to still "take care of matters".  As you said...you were suppose to die, in order to take charge and get things done.  Well as you can see, we all have been through a life experience without your wisdom, understanding, listening, advice and especially your good and funny SENSE OF HUMOR.  It was this humor in our family and in your personality that made everything feel we would always be safe and be taken care of.  As you said..YOU LIVED a FULL and very satisfied life, and accepted that you accomplished more than most men your age had.  Lenny, ALL PERSONS who call, have funny and thoughtful stories to share in remembering you.  ALL have said...what a remarkable man you were.  How blessed I was to have the wonderful memories of YOU, and OUR exciting marriage together.  I miss you lots, but I do now understand the words you spoke to me unselfishly -- that I was this beautiful woman..who needed to move on and make another man happy as I made you.  That you wanted me to promise you to love again.  I could not promise you, but only kiss your lips.  Lenny, I promise you now, that I will someday move forward.  You will always be the "Love of My Life", you will always be in my heart.  I will never forget the awesome husband you were to me and I do know now, that it is possible to love differently once again. My Lenny  You were such a wonderful kind loving and considerate person and I miss youso much.  You were a friend for so many years and stood by me even while you were sick. Hey dad it's me your son daniel. Well it's my b-day so right about now you would wait till everyone wasn't around  and act like u forgot then say happy birthday KIDO!!! lol I missed that today but i know your up there playing cards with Nunzi Ray charles and Marvin gay lookin down sayin it's that s.o.b birthday today.. lol Guess what????
