Lisionie "Liz" Elusma, born on June 24, 1968, in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, entered her eternal rest on November 1, 2024, in Orlando, Florida, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of Francis Inalien and Mariane Delphine (later Mariane Inalien), who instilled in her the enduring values of faith, resilience, and love that she carried with her throughout her life.
Liz’s journey on earth was defined by deep compassion, radiant faith in God, and selfless love for all who crossed her path. Her kindness and warmth made her a beacon in the lives of everyone blessed to know her. Known for her gentle spirit, she touched the hearts of family, friends, and countless others, leaving a legacy of kindness and generosity that will be cherished forever.
As a devoted mother, Liz raised her four sons with boundless love and pride: Jhon Inalien and his wife, Marlena; Luc Mazard; Shyller Elusma and his wife, Amber; and Anthony Elusma and his wife, Audra. She was also a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren—Gabriella, Isabella, Amara, Jeremiah, Saahdya, Jenedy, Theodore, and Dessalines—each of whom she adored, filling their lives with love, wisdom, and strength.
Beyond her love for family, Liz was a passionate gardener who found peace and joy in nurturing her plants. Her garden flourished with vegetables, fruits, and herbs, each cultivated with care and purpose. For Liz, gardening was more than a pastime; it was her way of connecting with the earth. Her garden became a sanctuary of abundance, reflecting the warmth and generosity of her spirit.
Liz is survived by her children, grandchildren, and extended family, who will carry her spirit forward, honoring her memory by living lives filled with love, kindness, and purpose.
A memorial service celebrating Liz’s life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Broward Burial and Cremation, 1801 East Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306. We ask that you remember her not for how her life ended, but for how fully and beautifully she lived it.
