Marcelle Denise Bichette was born on August 29, 1950 in St. Petersburg, Florida to Dolores and Maurice Bichette. Although their marriage didn't last too long, their love for their daughter and her love for them never wavered. Growing up with her mom in Miami, a beautiful little girl, happy chasing butterflies in the backyard or playing with worms in the ground... (in her Easter dress right before pictures - true story) while her mom was pursuing her acting career, Marcy would sometimes spend time back in St. Pete with her Aunt Dot; Uncle Eddie; cousins, Nina, Eddie Wayne; and her best friend cousin, Linda. At age nine, Marcy became very ill with an infection in her heart, that kept her in the hospital for almost four months. After getting better and leaving the hospital, she unfortunately, also left with a heart murmur which she dealt with throughout her life. Before graduating Miami Senior High School, at age 17, following in her mothers footsteps, she began her own acting career which yielded a handful of B-Horror flicks, one of which she had the lead female role and in another, a small part in one of her mom's movies. During that time, she also worked at the Merry Go Round Theater on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables doing children's theater on weekends, playing everyone from Cleopatra to Peter Pan to Mary Poppins. After that, she became lead singer in the band Bittersweet for about 6 years, touring and playing gigs from Key West to Tallahassee. After the band, she worked as a bartender and waitress in South Florida.
On the luckiest day of my life, we met. We dated, fell in love and were married on November 6, 1999. After starting our life together in our new home, it quickly became evident that our work schedules were not allowing us enough time together. So, career change - PET SYLIST. One that she absolutely loved. She got a job where she worked and was taught the trade. With work, study and seminars, she quickly became a Master Groomer. Loved by her clients and the humans that brought them to the shop, Marcy had always given generously to numerous pet organizations to help her fury little friends. Marcy loved animals and all animals loved Marcy. You could see how they could sense the goodness in her heart, much like anyone who knew her or had even just met her.
Marcy is survived by her husband, Tom; brother, Dante (Mariana); nephews, Dante Jr and Bo; brother, Mikey; nephew, Jonathan; nieces, Jessica and Renee; and nieces Marcy and Alexandria whose mother Valerie, Marcy's sister, was waiting to greet her in heaven. Also survived by a large extended loving family, friends and loved ones.
I believe that throughout her life she kept with her the kindness, innocence, wonderment and beauty of that little girl chasing butterflies in the backyard.
I love you forever.
We will meet again.
Love Tom
