Martha “Marti” Jane Pierson Smith of Davie, FL passed away on Tuesday Evening, August 30. She was a devoted Mom, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt and friend. Marti is survived by her daughters, Linda Hill, and husband Brad Hill, Kelly Toney, and husband Chris Toney; grandchildren, Matt Hill, Alyson Hill, Ryan Hill, Max Toney, Andie May Toney & Maddy Toney; sisters: Constance Clinefelter and husband Tom Clinefelter, Carol O’Rourke and husband John O’Rourke, and preceded in death by Sue Maly. Marti was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 8, 1933 and is the second of 4 daughters to Margret Pierson and Eggbert Pierson. Marti took great pleasure in being a mom and was even happier as a loving, giving, proud “Gram”. Marti’s sense of humor and sincerity will be missed by many. Visitation will be held 2:00 Sunday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Memorial service at 3:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity close to your heart.
