Marv was born November 5, 1938, in Memphis, Tennessee to Pingry Finley Glenn and Era Francis Glenn (Milam). He graduated from Frayser High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1956.
He entered the U.S. Army after graduating from high school. After serving his country, he joined the business world and worked as a sales representative for many years in the medical field before buying and operating CGS International, a wholesale importer and distributor of flatware and dinnerware to major retail outlets throughout the United States.
In 2004, after selling their business in California, Marv and his wife Ginny moved to Florida and located in Ft. Lauderdale where they resided at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club on their yacht “Priority”.
Marv and Ginny have been beloved and active members of the Coral Ridge Yacht Club ever since joining in 2007. They both served the club in many positions and Marv was an officer of the club for many years as a Governor, Treasurer and as the club’s Commodore in 2015.
Marv is survived and will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 34 years, Ginny.
He is also survived by his brother, Pingry Finley Glenn, Jr. and many nieces and nephews.
The family requests privacy at this time and no service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coral Ridge Yacht Club Sailing and Water Sports Foundation, Inc.
