Sonia and Rodger Allen, 9 pounds 6 ounces, full of love and a full head of beautiful curly
hair. Maxwell was born at Holy Cross Hospital along with the rest of his siblings Mikal,
Marc and Maya.
Maxwell’s birth completed “The Boys of Summer,” as he was the 3rd consecutive baby boy
born in the Summer of 2002, following his cousins Jaydin and Sean. This started a new era.
Growing up Maxwell was looked at as a gentle giant, bigger than everybody in his classes,
but kind and peaceful with a tender heart. He didn’t hold grudges and he was always trying
to get after “It,” whatever “It” was. He loved animals and was often entrusted with his
neighbors to watch theirs.
Maxwell played basketball in the neighborhood , coached by his brothers, father and Uncle.
In recreational leagues across Broward County he played sports ranging from T-Ball in
Margate, Flag Football in Coral Springs and Basketball all over the county. Maxwell was a
big man and although we wanted him to take it to the paint every single time, he had a sweet
three point shot that he would bank right off the glass sending Coach/Uncle Sean from
frustration to Joy! The boys of Summer went on to win multiple Championships while
gaining respect at every park they arrived at.
Throughout Elementary, Middle and High school Max got bigger and bigger and then….
He became the “Big little brother and the “big little cousin.” Maxwell grew in his faith in
Jesus Christ during this time, attending Golden Heights Church of Christ, where he was
Baptized on June 12th 2011 for the remission of his Sins, putting on Christ and the Holy
Spirit. His walk with Christ was important to him, he was dedicated to serving on the
Ushers board as well as 4th Sundays when the youth lead worship and praise. Due to his size
and his willingness to help he was often pulled for the regular worship and praise
assignments to read scripture and pray - a true servant leader.
With God’s unwavering grace, through trials, tribulations and a Worldwide Pandemic-
Maxwell graduated from Coconut Creek High School, in true Maxwell fashion, he spoke it
into existence and proceeded to graduate on the back of a white convertible Ford Mustang.
After High School, Maxwell continued to find himself as a young adult in a new world. After
the Pandemic, he found out that he really enjoyed working in Sales and he was good at it
too. Maxwell was a smooth talker, he could convince salt that it’s sweet and he could sell
sand to the beach, his gorgeous smile, calming demeanor and his organically warm presence
made you feel at home, even if he was selling you a $100,000 Escalade.
Maxwell had a duty on this earth, as we all do. Maxwell loved with no end and he forgave
quickly. He treated others correctly and was always supportive in a time of need. Maxwell is
loved by his family and friends, but God loved him more, Maxwell Allen completed his
assignment and he returned back to his Heavenly Father on November 18th 2023. Let us
continue to live and give as Max did, loving others fully, forgiving them freely and helping
when and where we can. Maxwell is remembered in our hearts where his life holds so much
meaning, the true definition of Peace and Positivity.
