Michael John Biggar, 43, earned his angel wings on July 17, 2020 after almost a year-long battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer. As his wish, his last months were spent in the comforts of his home in Plantation, Florida with much love and care from his wife, Rose, and son, Brady.

Mike worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for over 20 years. He was passionate about the wonders of the ocean and became an avid reef keeper. He eventually founded his company, BigR Corals, with the ultimate hope of replenishing our dying reefs with corals that he grew. His biggest goal was to work alongside other reefers and foundations to save the amazing reefs for the future generations.

His signature gift of joy, shown through his funny antics and easy-going demeanor, will never be forgotten. He leaves behind his legacy through the many corals he named, the lives he touched and through his only child, Brady, who will forever know how unique and wonderful his Daddy was. He was loved and supported by many.

Mike is survived by his loving wife and young son, his Sister-in-law Stephanie Ang and husband James Ang, his nephews Christopher Ang and Alex Ang, his Father-in-law Ramon Tanbonching and Mother-in-law Carmelita Tan, his brother Stephen Biggar Jr., his sister-in-law Fabiana Biggar, his two nieces Gabriella and Natalia Biggar, and his parents Stephen Biggar Sr. and Ellen Connolly.

Mike will be dearly missed.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.forestlawnsouth.com for the Biggar family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent directly to his surviving family at: BigR Corals/ Rosemarie Biggar 10122 NW 13th Court, Plantation, Florida 33322.

Mike was a dear friend to me. His laughter was contagious. In fact, I can’t remember one time that we didn’t laugh when we saw each other. May Rose, Brady and all of Mike’s family and friends know that he is now smiling down on us.

Mike and I had the Radiography program together in college. He literally slept through every class😂. He was such a pleasant and fun person that the professor would just lay the classwork handout on top of his sleeping head and not bother to wake him. So often he would ask “did I miss anything good?” 😭 Mike is just genuine to his core. If he had worries you would never know. All my memories of you my friend have always been filled with joy and appreciation. Sleep well my friend 🙏🏿
