Mike was an avid, lifelong Dallas Cowboys & NY Yankees fan. One of his favorite sports related moments is when he went to the Dallas /NY Giants playoff game in January 2008 with his brother-in-law Enzo and cousin, Giancarlo. The day after the game he was surprised with a scheduled visit to meet Dallas Cowboy Hall of Fame QB, Roger Staubach at his Dallas office.
Mike spent the last fruitful years of his life in the loving and caring home of his sister, Denise and brother-in-law, Enzo. He was an Amazing Uncle who doted on his niece and nephews and brought laughter into their lives. Mike is predeceased by his mother, Michelle DiRoma and leaves behind his father, Lou DiRoma and 2 sisters - Marian DiRoma and Denise Ingrao, 2 nephews - Zachary & Ryan Ingrao, a niece, Shyann Guerin, 2 Uncles - John DiRoma (wife: Lynn) & Tony DiRoma and 2 cousins - Giancarlo DiRoma (wife: Jessica) and Anthony DiRoma
He was an extremely loving and thoughtful man who loved his family deeply. Even though Michael faced tremendous hurdles, he never lost hope and faith in God. As Paul the apostle said in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith".
