

He was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on July 23, 1949, to Irenée and Georgette Gagné. He was the middle child with two brothers and two sisters. He started working at a young age at his father's restaurant and hotel.
Michel earned his MBA from the University of Western Ontario. On September 2, 1972, he married his Gisèle Robichaud in Moncton, New Brunswick. Together, they built a life centered on family. Beginning in Mississauga, Ontario and ending in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Michel forged a distinguished career in commercial real estate, working as a broker with The Keyes Company for 36 years. He served as President of the Society of Commercial Realtors of Greater Fort Lauderdale and was a member of CCIM.
Michel was preceded in death by his parents, Irenée and Georgette Gagné, and his older brother, Jean.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Gisèle Gagné; his children, Jean-Pierre, Patrick and Mimi (Avi); his grandchildren, Taylor (Leticia), Mia, Amy, Emma and Ava; and his great-grandchildren, Caleb and Noah.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Michel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched.
