

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. MoisesL. Martinez was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Moises will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Moises’s life journey began on February 19, 1980. He first greeted the world in Passiac, New Jersey at Passiac General Hospital. His parents' names were Luz Lopez Herminia Betancourt and Moises Martinez. Growing up for Moises was an involving experience. It allowed him to learn and grow and create all kinds of memories.
A lot of what shaped Moises’s life was how he was raised. He was raised with 2 sisters. Moises had 2 younger sisters, Melissa and Mia. Moises was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced the typical rivalries of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young boy, Moises had a number of interests. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Moises was an active child who enjoyed a number of different activities, including Football and Swimming. He was also active in various groups and organizations, such as ROTC. A number of things caught his interest, such as Wrestling.
In school, Moises learned many things and made many friends. Moises managed to accomplish many things as a child, both in and out of the classroom. Some of Moises' biggest accomplishments during this time included Best student in Middle school. However, to Moises, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends. Sacheen Jimenez was one of his best friends. Moises also went on some family trips occasionally during his childhood. In all, Moises grew up surrounded by family and friends who cared about him very much.
Many things change when a person becomes old enough to go to high school; Moises was no different. He was a typical teenager who had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Passiac High School in 1998. Moises tried to be involved in a number of different activities,such as ROTC both in and out of school, during these years.
After high school, the next big step in a person’s life is heading off to college. How someone reacts to the freedom and responsibility shows a great deal about their character and the person they will become. Moises enjoyed his college years. Though it was a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied it, he was able to manage the balancing act obtaining his Associates and Bachelors in the Medical Field. College allows a person to become more focused in their studies but also opens up whole new horizons for one to explore. Though awards weren’t the reason he worked hard in college, Moises was recognized for his efforts.
Like in high school, college was more than just going to classes and learning. Education went beyond the classroom. He shared this time of his life with a number of people, some of whom would eventually become very close friends. Many people have interesting or amusing stories about their college living arrangements, and Moises was no exception. He also managed to do some traveling during breaks.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Moises experienced that with Phillip Gray. It can be said that you can tell a lot about a person by their friends. So it's little wonder that he took an active role in his neighborhood and community.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Moises enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Moises worked diligently and did his best to succeed in each of his jobs. While he worked several jobs over his life, Moises’s primary occupation was working as Medical Assistant. He was employeed for 9 years at a Community Blood Bank.
Though Moises didn’t work for accolades, he was recognized for a job well done. Moises always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Moises enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including Traveling around the world, writing song lyrics, he wrote the song that was sung by Pink called "Sober". He was usually willing to share his interests with others.
Like all people, Moises had his favorite things in life. When it came to entertainment, Moises enjoyed a number of different things. Moises enjoyed sports and athletics.
A person’s faith says a great deal about them. Some people are raised with strong beliefs while others garner them throughout their life. Moises’s faith was important to him. He was a Christian.
Moises Martinez left us on May 16, 2011. He passed away at Home. He was 31. He is survived by Luz "Mother", Melissa and Mia "Sisters", Jade "Niece", Stephen "Cousin", Brother and Family. Services were handled by Kraeer Fairchild Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
So this is Moises’s life, the sum of the man that he became. Simply stated, Moises was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Moises leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Moises L. Martinez touched will always remember him with a smile.
