

Moronica Yvette Sheffield-Samuels, 56, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away on January 2, 2022. She was born in Fort Riley, Kansas on February 24, 1965, to Orlando and Adriana Sheffield. In 1966, the family relocated to New Jersey. Yvette was a 1983 graduate of East Orange High School. As a young adult, Yvette worked in a nursing home. She would later work as bus aide, assisting her Aunt Elaine.
Yvette, as she was lovingly known as, was a loving and caring person. She loved her family in a joyful way. She was a friend to everyone. She was easy going from birth and kind by nature. She opened her doors to many throughout the years giving family and friends who were in need a place to stay. It was easy to feel at home in her presence. A jovial person, Yvette was always ready to pose for a picture. She gave life to every party. She loved family gatherings, she loved church, and she adored her grandchildren.
Yvette was a confidant to many; you could talk to her about anything. She was always there to listen with a nonjudgmental ear no matter the time of day or night…just don’t call her before 11 am with a non-emergency or else she would be sure to remind you! Yvette was special; uniquely spirited. Through kindness, she did God’s work on Earth. She was grateful for the people in her life, and she voiced this often. There aren’t many people like her. We will miss Yvette’s beautiful, larger than life smile, her laugh, wit, love and most of all, we will miss her being.
Yvette leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted mother Adriana; her father, Orlando; one daughter, Tierra Guillaume; one son, Donovan Sheffield; siblings, Cordelia (Robert) Fesel; Bridget (Robert) Burch; Adrianna (Rod); Sonja (Dorian) Cline; Lasonya Sheffield; and brother, Reginald Sheffield. She also leaves to cherish her memories 7 grandchildren, Kenneth, Tavoris, Trayvon, Lauren, Donovan Jr., Moronica and Dontrell; and an extension of close family and friends.
Yvette will truly be missed and never forgotten.
