Nancy Senno-James

It is with great sadness to announce that in early August 2023, Nancy Senno James, born February 13th 1949, stepped into the next phase of existence. Her heart was big, as is her family. Second of 7 siblings Robert, Donald, Paul, Peggy, Peter, & Cathy. Her son John Kerr Palladino who she always called Jake is from her first marriage with John G Palladino. Her second marriage with Steven James lasted until his passing. She had many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Not family by blood but family by heart, Susan DiMartino has been one of the closest people to Nancy since childhood. Nancy was also pet parent to many dogs.

She walked through this world with a genuine interest in every person that crossed her path. She could hold up a grocery line talking astrology with the cashier and what it meant that Leo was their rising sign, or send a home made birthday card to a loved one that referenced a joke not thought about for years. Michael and Joan Senno must have done something right raising a daughter who could find little details that would brighten someone’s day.

Nancy loved gardening, sharing a Heineken with friends and had extensive knowledge of family history. She could tell you the birth and death date of every relative dating back at least 200 years, however her exact time of passing is a mystery. Her love of irony and sense of humor is with us even in death.

Thanks to Broward Burial and Cremation for their help. We will have a Burial/Committal service for our Nancy, at the family gravesite at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne NY 10532 @NOON on September 23. A Celebration of NANCY'S Life meal following the service at Tramonto Restaurant 27 Hawthorne, NY around 1:00PM
