Nancy Kay Vivanco

Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, on June 3, 1938, to Myrvin and Maxine Pope, Nancy married Sergio Vivanco on June 19, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was a distinguished graduate of the University of Iowa (BA) and Nova Southeastern University (MA) and dedicated herself to teaching ESOL in both Ecuador and the United States for many years.

Nancy is mourned by her children, Carlos Vivanco and his wife Laura Shields Vivanco; Gina LeCates and her husband Michael LeCates; her sister Susan Nelson; her grandchildren Edward Vivanco, Christa Vivanco, Alexander LeCates, Elijah LeCates, and Violet Vivanco; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sergio Vivanco. Nancy's legacy of love and wisdom will be cherished by all who knew her.

The visitation is scheduled for 10 am on Tuesday, July 14, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317. The funeral service to honor Nancy's life will be held at 11 am, followed by burial on the same day and location.
