Ned Eugene Hernandez

With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved father, Ned Eugene Hernandez, peacefully passed away on July 4, surrounded by the love of his family. While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful that he was not alone in his final moments and was embraced by those who loved him most.

Ned was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, and friend—a man whose love was shown through his actions every single day. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, always put others before himself, and found his greatest joy in seeing the people he loved happy. His strength, kindness, generosity, and unwavering presence touched countless lives, and his legacy will continue to live on through all of us.

Above all else, he was a devoted husband. For 48 beautiful years, he shared a remarkable love story with his beloved wife that was built on unwavering commitment, sacrifice, laughter, and unconditional love. She was the love of his life, and he adored her with his whole heart until his very last breath. While our family grieves the loss of an incredible father, we also mourn alongside the woman who shared nearly five decades by his side. The void left in her heart is immeasurable, but so is the love and life they built together.

To know him was to know someone who always showed up—with love, strength, and a willingness to do whatever it took for the people he cared about. He was our protector, our provider, our biggest supporter, and the steady presence that held so much of our family together. The loss of such an incredible man has left an immeasurable void, and he will be missed more than words can ever express.

On July 9, our beloved Ned was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Fort Lauderdale during an intimate service surrounded by family and loved ones. Although we have said our earthly goodbye, we know his love and spirit will remain with us always.

We now invite our family and friends, both near and far, to join us as we celebrate the beautiful life of Ned Eugene Hernandez and the countless memories he gave us.

In true Daddy fashion, the theme of his celebration of life will be a Miami Dolphins Tailgate. If you know, you know my daddy. This celebration will honor the passion, personality, laughter, and joy he brought into our lives, surrounded by the people, memories, and traditions he loved most.
