I missed your call and that moment haunts me every day of my life. I miss your mentorship. I miss everything about you. I’m sorry I didn’t pick up the phone. I regret not answering the phone. I have so many regrets. I don’t even know how to feel about you been gone. I know it’s been a long time, but I miss you think about you all the time and I wish you were still here. You were one of the most genuine human beings I’ve ever met in my life.

I recently heard of Rick's passing. Rick was partly responsible for kick starting my career by promoting me to an important position years ago. 

He was always a pleasure to talk to, work for and his laid back personally was very contagious. 

My condolences to Connie and the rest of the family. He was really a good man.

My family was fortunate to get to know Rick through our children playing together on the Broward Sharks. Of course, being that both of our families are Jamaician, my husband and Rick hit it off immediately. They shared a special friendship that I know my husband now misses dearly. He was such a vibrant and positive person. He was such a supportive and dedicated husband and parent. We all saw that in how he dealt with his wife and son. He will be dearly missed by all but we have comfort knowing that Jehovah has great plans for him. To Connie and Jayden, our deepest condolences. We will always be here for you.

Rich, this is such a shock to me.  I haven't heard from you in a while.  You would always call every now and then to check up on me.  My instinct told me something was wrong happened.  So I Googled your name and there you are, wearing that beautiful 24-hour smile you always carried on your lovely face.  This is going to be a hard one to digest.  You had such a positive impact in my life.  My condolences go out to you and your family. I know everyone in heaven is saying, "This guy is the life of the party."

I am so appreciative that you were my Dad!  You always looked out for the family and me. You taught me from an early age to be proud of who I was and to always work harder than the next guy. Our family was blessed to gain a friend and family in our continuous years in travel basketball with the Broward Sharks. Rick was genuine, a one of a kind, just an overall special loyal man. He loved our sharks cook outs by the grill after wins or losses, always grilling up for the boys with a nice glass of wine. His energy was enlightening. We will truly miss you. Gone but never forgotten, till we meet again.. Our deepest condolences to Connie, Jayden, and their love ones.

Once I remember getting straight A's and grand-pa being very, very proud of me.  He even gave me $100.00.  He always happy and relaxed and he thought of the good things in people.  I loved him.

Rick became part of my family 23 yars ago, shortly after my own father passed away unexpectedly.  Since that time he assumed the sole role of Grand-pa to our children, as well as father to me.  Rick taught us by example to be fair, balanced and just.  Rick, up until his last day, showed us how to "live in the moment," each and every moment. When Rick had nothing to say or do, he hummed a short tune, and everyone was his "buddy."   He will be missed as a parent, grandfather and friend. We have truly suffered a huge loss, but we are so proud of and comforted by the nothing-but-good memories we have of him.  We will miss the "next" times we anticipated were granted to us to share with him : the next funny story, the next trip to Jamaica, another glass of wine, the next set of straight A, the next big-money deal, the next daunting delemia.  We love you Rick, and look forward to seeing you in the resurrection, where there will be endless moments to share with you.

My heart goes out to you and Jayden during this difficult time, my thoughts are with you.

Rick was a ray of sunshine; full of life and always smiling.  He was so proud of his grown children and his wife Connie and young son Jayden.  Always had a proud story to share.  I had the pleasure of knowing Rick personally and professionally. He will be missed by many.  He was always there to help.  This was particularly demonstrated when he worked tirelessly to assist victims of Hurricane Andrew and the Haiti earthquake.   Gone too soon.

My heart aches deeply for my aunt and Jayden, for their loss. I have had the pleasure of knowing Rick as my uncle-in-law for many years. I watched the way he dated my aunt with class and style. I'll never forget the time he had a limousine pick her up for a date. As a teenage girl, I remember thinking, he was such a gentleman. Years later, when he would visit Atlanta, he would always take me to dinner and we shared laughs as we talked about our family and old times. Rick was a class act; and a wonderful husband and father.
