Robert Dublis, M.D. passed away on July 29 at the age of 75 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Astrid Dublis, M.D., and his son Christopher Dublis. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from Bishop Loughlin High School and Fordham College. He received his M.D. degree from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, in 1963.Dr. Dublis, a resident of Florida since 1973, was a board certified psychiatrist in private practice for many years. He loved boats and spent much of his free time out on the water in Fort Lauderdale, Key Largo and Marathon.He was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Stanley Dublis. He will be missed by family and friends especially Kathleen Kapfer, friend and caretaker for many years. Wake will be at Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home on Sunday, August 2,2015 from 4:00-8:00PM with a 5:00 PM wake Service and Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church on Monday, August 3,2015 at 10:00am followed by internment at Queen of Heaven Cemetary, North Lauderdale.
