On September 4, 1946, Robert Lee Jones, Jr was born in Tallahassee, FL to the late Robert L. Jones, Sr. and Lucy Edvena Jones. He grew up in Ft. Pierce, FL where he attended Lincoln Park Academy and met the love of his life, Cynthia Adella Brooks. They were married on December 26, 1965, and celebrated more than 54 years together. After moving to Hollywood, FL in 1966, he established Avin Woodwork, where he perfected his craftmanship in carpentry while teaching his children the value of hard work. When he wasn’t working, he dedicated his time to his family on hunting and fishing trips. He and Cynthia were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in Jacksonville, FL on March 18, 1978. He served the Lord throughout his life until he was called to rest on the morning of June 26, 2020.

Robert was a beloved child of God, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucy Edvena, two brothers, Fred Jones (Rosella) and George “Jimmy” Jones, and a sister, Clyde “Bobbie” Debose (Lemuel).

He leaves behind the following to mourn his memory: his beloved wife, Cynthia Adella Jones; aunt, Essie Reed Pye; sisters, Lucy Allen, Carra Richardson, Lucille Hester, and Ruth Elaine Gardner (Earl); brother, Carl Jones (Jatuporn); sisters-in-law, Theresa (George), Alcenia Hall, and Benita Bacon (Malacciah); brothers-in-law, Daniel L. Brooks III (Margaret), Alonzo Brooks (Shirley), and Eddie Edwards (Danalena, deceased); children, Anita Jones, Robert L. Jones III, Lemuel Jones, Sr. (Valencia), David Jones (Precious), Antoinette Jones, and William Jones; grandchildren, Amelia Manners, whom he raised as a daughter (Livingston Manners, Jr.), Lemuel Jones, Jr., Courtney Jones, Mckenzie Jones, Alexis Jones, Brooke Jones, and Sierra Jones; great-grandchildren, Leilani Manners, Livingston Manners III, Lillie Bella Powell-Jones, and Aaliyah Manners; special and beloved neighbor and friend, Clinton Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
