Robert A Roscioli

July 26, 1942July 27, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of thelegendary Robert "Bob" Roscioli. Mr. Roscioli has been an icon of the marine industry and is globallyrespected for personal attention to details and outstanding service to the yachting industry at RoscioliYachting Center.

Bob built his business and made his mark as a pioneer in the South Florida marine industrywhen he started a business from nothing, using his master paint brushing skills and gained a reputation as aperfectionist. He then launched what is now a world renowned, state of the art, full service shipyard. Inthe late 1980's, he started Roscioli Donzi Yachts, building custom sportfishing yachts which was a passion of his.

Bob's mantra "Today's the Day" is the way he started every day at the yard. He could be seen walking the shipyard everymorning, preparing for the day ahead. A true friend to first responders and veterans, Bob was an advocate ofproviding jobs and teaching those who have served or needed a chance. A true legacy to the marine industry.

Mr. Roscioli leaves behind Sharon, his loving wife of 51 years, his son Robert (Traci), his daughter, Heather (Brian),and three granddaughters, Grace, Hannah and Rachel. Bob will be deeply missed by his employees, innumerablecolleagues in the yachting industry, many of whom he mentored, and the yacht owners who have depended on himfor his loyal service.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and out of respect to the wellbeing of Robert's family and visitors, services will be held at the convenience of the family. It can be a great comfort to a grieving person or family to hear that others thought highly of their loved one, too. If you knew and admired Bob, be sure to let the family know by writing a few words in the "Memory" section of his obituary on the Kraeer - Fairchild Funeral Home website.

Being a Kiwi, one of the highlights of visiting Florida in the last 6 years, was along with Mark Billingsley, our Ft Lauderdale rep, our visits to Bob.
Bob always gave me his most valuable commodity, his time. Maybe it was because he knew I came along way to see him, but with Bob, I always felt that that’s how he treated everyone. His stories on how he got started in business, and how he dealt with adversity were always great to listen to, with an added twist of his sense of humour.
Though I spent a small amount of time in his company, I always felt the better for the meeting, and always took away a huge respect for the man and the effect he had on me, and the people he meet. I was in genuine awe at how he had built up his company and pleased he is recognised as an industry leader in the largest boating industry in the world.

My future visits to Ft Lauderdale will not be the same.

Robert was a great inspiration as a firm business man. Sometimes misunderstood as a hard person to work with. His business model to build fine quality yachts and providing the workforce to maintain that standard in this industry is what sets the Roscioli name apart from the others. Rest in peace Mr Roscioli and thank you for the opportunity to know you as a friend and an associate broker.

Bob, my dear friend, you will most certainly be greatly missed by myself and all the many whom you positively influenced and impacted with your life and optimism. There are many great attributes that you possessed that I will carry through with me all of my days. One of those attributes which had a true and lasting impact on me was the manner in which you readily extended dignity to every person you encountered. A person always felt like they had your full interest, full attention and full respect when they were around you. There are countless other high qualities that made you the beloved man that you were. I will cherish our friendship all of my days Bob, and will, and have, strive to treat all others with the same level headed unconditional love, respect, and dignity that you so graciously extended to all whom you encountered. Love you Bob and will miss you greatly but am tremendously thankful for the moments we shared which I will carry in my heart as I walk this earth and live out your mantra that “Todays’s the Day!” May God bless you and keep you my friend! - Matt Bryson

Mr. R as I always knew him, was a mentor to me in many facets of life. Family, business and relationships, were only a part of the things he taught. I have never met anyone as motivated as Mr. R, and will remember his will to produce above and beyond, forever.
The yard is still like a second home for me but will be so different not stopping to chat with him no matter how busy he was.
With heavy heart, I will say farewell Sir, but your memories and teachings will live on forever.

This truly saddens me,
As an X employee of his and being in the Yaching industry for 34 years and working in and out of his yard, we all came to respect mr. R and his family.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his sweet wife Sharon and children Heather and Robbie in this time. May God comfort you and the rest of the Roscioli team.

Amy & I only recently met Bob for the first time. They say first impressions are usually correct and ours was of a genuine class act. Bob made us feel like we were his only customer. Over my seventy plus years I can say with absolute confidence he remains one of the finest gentlemen I’ve ever met and the world is poorer for his loss. Our hearts and prays go out to his family. Please know he will be remembered.
