

Trimble, Robert Lee, 90, of Ft. Lauderdale, born October 3, 1920 in Peel Tree, W.Va. journeyed home to meet his Lord and join his precious wife, Martha, of 67 years on March 11, 2011. Bob is survived by his daughter Cheryl Rhoads and son Biff Trimble as well as by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. His grandson Blake was there to greet him at heavens gate. Master Sgt. Trimble served 33 months in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in England and France. He came to Ft. Lauderdale in 1957 and retired as Senior V.P. of the Real Estate Dept. of Sun Trust Bank. He was an active member of many civic organizations and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale for 54 years; he worked with the Cancer Support group and was a servant and mentor to many. His presence will be missed as "The Greeter" at the Fort Lauderdale Christmas pageant.
A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church Ft. Lauderdale, 301 E. Broward Blvd., Ft. Lauderdale, on Saturday, March 19th, at 11am. The Family requests no flowers and in lieu of, memorial contribution may be made to First Baptist Church Ft. Lauderdale or any charity of choice.
