Ronnie and Pat were our bosses when my husband Ernie and I first met in 1984. Ernie was a boat mechanic and I was the receptionist at Maul Lake Marina Intracoadtal Marine NMB. Such a wonderful caring person. Love you Pat prayers to you and your family. Just saw you two in Publix a month ago ❤️

Dear Pat and Family,  I was so sad to hear about Ron.  Our fondest memories will always be in my heart  .. Buckeye Road, the walks to National Guard on Thursday.  and of course all the fun we had between your house and Ron's Mom.   We will meet again and  have a great reunion.  Love to all. How can you sum up a lifetime of friendship with both Pat & Ron.  Nicest couple I know. So sorry for your loss and I hope everyone will stay close together. It's never easy loosing a loved one and I hope family will stay as nice as they all are  & take care of Pat.  I wish everyone blessings & prayers to keep you safe & strong.  We all have great memories growing up together and forming a bond that still is there today.  



In 1992, Ron and Pat were preparing to lease the other half of their home on 49th Street, a place intended eventually for Pat's ailing sister. I was looking for a new place to live for me, my daughter Catesby, and my son Mick.  As a result of a new separation agreement, there was a court-imposed monthly stipend that I was allowed to pay for rent, and it was considerably less than what Ron and Pat were asking.  The realtor said it was a firm price, and that there were other offers; but I went to the house, met Ron and Pat, & introduced them to my little family.  Ron and Pat spoke with one another and called me back to agree to the lower price that I could offer over the others who had applied! I felt then (and know even more now) that they were angels sent to my by a loving God.  For the next 4 years, my children learned lessons from Ron and Pat that I alone could never teach them. They learned fathering and mothering from them, who parented all three of us. They saw what true marriage should be, could be.  And Ron was the patriarch:  loving and caring, smart and cheerful, all-knowledgeable, ever patient and kind, the man of integrity that my son could hope to become, and my daughter to marry. My children played alongside Joey and Amanda and Jamie, and knew no difference in how Ron and Pat loved and shared with them, the same as their grandchildren! And I believe I felt as safe and cared for as did Lori and Teri, their loving daughters. How can a mother thank a man and his wife for such a gift as those 4 years were to me and mine? I pray for you and your family often, and now promise that mine will be a daily prayer, one in which I ask the Lord to bless and keep your whole family until you are joined with each and every one, in heaven. I will never ever ever be able to thank you enough.  Pat, I love you; and Ron, I pray that you know how your goodness has impacted our lives forever. May eternal light shine upon you; may you rest in peace with our Lord forever.  Mary
