

Rosa Dawson Broomfield, lovingly known to all as Aunty, Aunt Rosa or Ms. Rosa, born on March 18, 1929, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at the age of 96, at the hospice inpatient unit in Delray Beach, Florida. Rosa was a resident of Boynton Beach, Florida.
Aunt Rosa was the matriarch and backbone of her family. Though she had no children of her own, she lovingly mothered three generations of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, giving selflessly and loving unconditionally. She was known for her infectious laugh, genuine kindness, and unwavering faith in God, qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and great-grand-nieces and nephews, all of whom will continue to carry her love and legacy forward.
Visitation will be held on March 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, located at 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317.
The funeral service will take place on March 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Following the funeral service, a committal service will be conducted on March 7, 2026, from 1;30 pm to 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, located at 2401 Davie Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317
Aunt Rosa’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
