

Rosalina or Lyn as she was known migrated to the United States from Cuba in March of 1970. She arrived with her mother Enid, grandmother Dorothy, and sister Eleanor (Blanca). After relocating to the U.S., she married Charles James and had her son Bradley James. Her husband passed away in 1993 and she never remarried. Her son Bradley James married Trudy-Ann James and moved to Florida where she joined him later.
In Cuba, Lyn was the eldest daughter at home. She always made sure that everything was going well. Her mother relied on her very much to where she took care of their grandmother. Lyn was extremely talented at embroidery and creating specialty tablecloths. Once in the U.S., she worked at various factories until she obtained a job at Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Plains, New Jersey. She worked their as a Dietary Hostess until she retired.
Rosalin was very social with plenty of friends whom she valued deeply. She always made the most of the times she spent with her friends. Every Christmas, she would always have dinner at her home where family and friends would gather for plenty of food and good times. One of her past times was playing a family card game called “Pedee”, where she played for countless hours with her family.
Lyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bradley James and Trudy-Ann James, and grandchildren Cayden and Karina James and three sisters Eleanor Payton (Blanca), Catherine Johnson (Chichi), Cecil O’Loughlin (Mandinga). She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, Sabrina Hughley, David Ricketts, Hugh O’Louglin, Brad O’Loughlin, Fernado O’Louglin, Gloria Guerra, Elizabeth Guerra, Marlon O’Louglin, Deborah Johnson, Ivory Johnson and host grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral is scheduled for November 20, 2021 at 10:00 am at Grace Episcopal Church in Union City, New Jersey where Reverend Hilario Albert will officiate. The Family would like to thank all who will attend and that they will keep her in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Episcopal Church in Union City, NJ.
