Samuel Alexander, born on September 30, 1926, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, at the age of 89 in Pompano Beach, Florida. He is survived by daughter, Joanne Alexander, of Pompano Beach, Florida; son, George Alexander, of Longwood, Florida; son, Ralph Alexander, and his wife, Shirley, of The Woodlands, Texas; granddaughter, Brooke Alexander Schmitt, and her husband, Daniel Schmitt, of The Woodlands, Texas.
Born in New York City, Sam was very proud of his Greek heritage and the "fact" that the Greeks discovered just about everything. Sam and his loving wife, Juanita, who passed away last year, were married for 61 years.
Samuel was a proud WWII veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps. A retiree of the Pennsylvania railroad, Sam also earned his insurance and real estate licenses. Sam was known for his quick wit, great smile and boy, could he dance! He could disarm and speak with anyone at any level and made many friends. He was a great provider; often working two jobs to provide the best for his family.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
