Sam was born October 23, 1940 in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Flushing High School in 1958 and from St. Procopius College in 1962. He received his master’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University. In 1982 he opened People’s Pawn & Jewelry in Fort Lauderdale, FL with Sheri Feke, with whom he also shared a daughter, Samantha, born July 29, 1983.
Sam was an avid fisherman, sports fan and proud member of his community. Above all, he was a devoted father, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed, but he lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, and all those whose lives he touched through his boundless generosity, humor, friendship, and through the constant pleasure of his company.
He is survived by his daughter Samantha Feke and his sisters Rona Giberson, Becky Feke and Verna Feke. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Fannie and Albert Feke, his brothers Frank and Rene Feke, and his sister Mary Feke.
A memorial service will be held for family at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Sunday, July 17 from 12 PM-2 PM. In lieu of flowers we ask that people donate to a charity of their choice in Sam’s name.
