Sandra J. Kutney

Sandi is survived by her daughter, Traci Gilchrist and her husband Jason with their children Tyler, Spencer, Katy, Jacky, her great-granddaughter, Dallas: and her son, Patrick Durham and his wife Laurie with their children Nick and Mia; and her brothers and sisters, Ron & Deidre Kutney, Bob & Cathy Kutney, Gail Carlin, & Gloria Farina She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jane Kutney; and her father, Henry Kutney.

Sandi Kutney was born on December 11,1943 in Wilkes Barre, PA, to parents Henry and Jane Kutney. She graduated from Clara Maass Nursing School in Belleville, NJ with a degree in Nursing. Her career as a nurse lasted 55 years. She practiced nursing in New Jersey, Illinois, California, Florida, as well as through multiple countries in Europe.

She was a wonderful, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother and grandmother who had a tremendous love for her family and church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crafting, watching live performances—especially Broadway shows, and anything Disney.

Sandi was a loyal friend with a great sense of humor and a compassionate heart. She will be remembered for her devotion to her Lord and His church, her family, her creativity and her generosity and helping those in need.

A funeral is scheduled for 10:30am on Friday January 7th, at St. David’s Catholic Church with a luncheon to follow at Forest Lawn South. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sandi’s life. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Memorial Healthcare for the exceptional care they gave to Sandi and her family in her final days.

In lieu of Flowers, Sandi would like donations to be made to The Gary Sinise Foundation, a local food bank, the Franciscan Missions, The Association of Marion Helpers, or Veteran Dogs.
