Sherman and I were classmates at Highland Park High School. I think that we were in the band together. He was very sociable, friendly, and pleasant to be around. I remember one time when it was rather chilly, he loaned me his Varsity jacket to wear. What a lovely gesture that was. He even attended a New Year's Eve party that I hosted in my home during senior year. He was such a nice person. Even though I haven't seen him since graduation, I cherish my fond memories of him.
