Shirley Ruth Noble Brohammer, 84, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away on Tuesday, Feb 4, 2020 at her home in Ft. Lauderdale.
Shirley Ruth Noble was born in Opelika, AL on July 30, 1935 to the late William Webster Noble and Fanny Chapman Noble. She received her Registered Nursing degree in 1957 from St. Margaret’s Hospital in Montgomery, AL. On June 22, 1956 she married Dr. Richard Frederic Brohammer when he served in the USAF at Air University, Gunter Branch in Montgomery, AL Mrs. Brohammer worked as an RN in Tuscaloosa, AL, Detroit Mercy Hospital in MI and UF Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, FL before coming to live in Fort Lauderdale, July 1956
Mrs. Brohammer is survived by her husband Richard Frederic Brohammer, MD a semi- retired Fort Lauderdale psychiatrist, and her 3 children, Richard Frederic Brohammer II, Renee Marie Brockman and Rory Christopher Brohammer.
Memorial Funeral Mass for Shirley “Ruth” is to be celebrated on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1 PM at Assumption Catholic Church Chapel, 2001 S. Ocean Blvd, Lauderdale by the Sea, FL
Celebration of Life to follow details will be given at Mass. In lieu of flowers, please give charitable donation to “Food for the Poor” or St. Jude’s Hospital.

I always thought of myself to be fortunate to know Ruth and your family which I always have had the most respect for.
I will keep both Ruth and your Family in my prayers and have a perpetual mass said at The miraculous medal of Mary sanctuary.
