It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of Susan “Sue” Kreusser (nee Colen) at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 21, 2026. A resident of Fort Lauderdale and formerly of Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, Sue lived a vibrant life of 82 years.
As the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Kreusser, Sue is survived by her three children: Christopher (Lisa) Kreusser, Karen (Aaron) White, and Joshua (Carolyn) Kreusser. Affectionately known as “Moo,” she was the proud grandmother to her eight cherished grandchildren: Austin, Christian, Chloe, Fiona, Noraa, William, Casey, and Tyler. Her family was her greatest joy; and she dedicated her life to creating lasting memories with them in Fort Lauderdale and on Long Beach Island, New Jersey.
Born in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania to the late Mary Colen Doty and Joseph E. Colen, Sue spent much of her life on the Main Line. Sue attended The Baldwin School and The Mount Vernon Seminary for Girls. She was an alumna of Denison University. Sue left her studies to marry her fiancée Bob in 1965 prior to his deployment to serve in Vietnam.
Sue was a lifelong world traveler, dedicated volunteer to many organizations including the Philadelphia Junior League, President of the Mothers Association at The Baldwin School and served on the vestry board at St Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania.
In Fort Lauderdale, Sue was a long-time member of All Saints Episcopal Church. As a dedicated and impactful member of the Fort Lauderdale Garden Club, Sue was the current Vice President and an integral part of the Parkinsonia Circle. She enjoyed volunteering with friends at the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens. She was also an avid reader who participated in several book clubs.
Sue found great happiness in serving others. She was generous with her time and energy helping the people around her, never hesitating to step up to get a project done or assisting a friend in need. Loved by her family, including her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors. Her abrupt passing will be sorely felt by everyone whose life she touched.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Sue Kreusser to the Fort Lauderdale Garden Club. http://flcg.org
