Susan C. Messina

Susan Messina was a resident of Ft Lauderdale since 1976, coming from South Brunswick, NJ. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and Sister to Michelle LaRosa, and pre-deceased by her brother, Salvatore Riveccio (dec'd), and sisters, Vivian Spasiano and Jasmine Caminiti . She was pre-deceased by her husband of 59 yrs, Joseph Messina and her beloved daughter Deborah Barrack. Her surviving children Arlene Love and Joseph Messina (wife Tamara) will forever hold her memory dear to their hearts. She was Grandmother to Cliff Love (wife Tami), Brad Love (wife Michele), Ryan Barrack (wife Jessica), Lindsay Barrack, Dillon Messina (wife Jennifer) and Delaney Messina. She was blessed with 4 Great-Grandchildren, Sophia Love (20 yrs), Harper Messina (10 mos), Hayes Ross (7 mos), and Brixlee Barrack (3 weeks). Her greatest love was FAMILY. She and her husband worked side by side during 59 yrs of marriage in raising a family she was proud of and kept close to her. Her family was with her during her final days and will forever hold her in their hearts with love, traditions and everlasting memories. Love goes on. She was a Treasure to all who knew her from East Point Towers, Ft Lauderdale, her volunteer work at Holy Cross Hospital and from her church family at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, always bringing a smile with her into the room.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan's memory may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1791 E. Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334 or a charity of ones choice.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 at the Kraeer Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Susan's funeral service will commence on Saturday morning, January 23, 2021 at 10:00 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where her Mass or Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will take place privately in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

In keeping with Broward County Regulations, Social Distancing and Masks are required by all guests.
