While it is possible to receive good counsel from a wide circle of family and friends, few could do it with the skill and aptitude of Susan M. Sardo. She had a true talent for helping others reach their full potential and brought out the best in those who sought her help. Susan was a forward-looking woman whose personality was filled with empathy toward everyone she met. She could be quiet and reserved, but her style of communication was authentic and direct. An excellent communicator, Susan was a master at using imagery when she explained her ideas and concepts. She seemed to have an endless supply of innovative concepts and strategies for how to help those around her. Her sensitivity, kindness and generous attitude made her a wonderful friend for all who knew her.
From the time she was born on March 1, 1972, Susan showed a deep concern for others. She was a giving and caring individual, ethical and full of integrity and warmth. Her parents were Anthony Sardo and Karen Milano. Susan was raised in South Florida.
Because fellowship was so important to her, Susan promoted harmony with her sibling. She was raised with one sister, Toni. Susan was something of the family diplomat. She helped to settle problems and conflicts and kept the family running smoothly.
All who knew her would agree that there was a certain kind of magic in how Susan was able to bond with her child. While she could be a firm disciplinarian, she could also fill the role of being a collaborator with her son. Susan was always a mentor who helped her family reach its full potential. Susan was blessed with one son, Nicholas Sardo.
She is survived by loving father Anthony Sardo, mother Karen Milano, son Nicholas Sardo, sister Toni Mawby, loving companion Jeff Fraser, and special friend aunt Anne Salerno. A host of relatives and friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 with a visitation from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm with a funeral service @ 7pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317 (954) 792-9360. Susan is now resting In the Arms of God.
Though she could be a private person at times, Susan was always able and willing to give of herself. She was so in tune with others that she often seemed able to read their minds. Susan carried with her an almost mystical sense of life. She was a person who was highly original in her thinking. A poetic, intuitive “teacher”, Suzie shared herself freely and family and friends will remember Susan for the strength of her convictions.
