

Valer Jisa was a pioneer who was driven by the desire to give the best to his family. He was a man who was not challenged easily in life. Always able to handle anything, fix anything and deal with anyone, Val took on the job and got it done right. He worked hard and sometimes played even harder. Valer always sought out the scene of where the action was. Sociable, pleasant and young at heart, Valer was an individual who enjoyed life.
His parents were Ioan and Anastasia Jisa. His father was a strong, aggressive leader and his mother a gentle woman filled with faith and grace. The influence of both his parents was evident in the balance of his character. Valer was raised in Aiton, Romania with nine siblings. He was the youngest of six brothers, Nicolae, Trainan, Ioan, Aurel, Vasile and Luca and three sisters, Elena, Maria and Sofia. Being the youngest, he was loved and spoiled by all.
Valer was a caring and protective husband to his wife Stela. He charmed Stela 43 years ago and never let up since. With an engaging personality, Valer was able to bring pleasure and unexpected humor to the relationship. Their love and affection has carried them though the waves of life.
His dedication to his family produced a permanent imprint on the lives of his childern. Valer was blessed with two children, his son, Valer D. Jisa, and his daughter, Daniela L. Tomescu. They were also blessed with four grandchildren, Juliane, Taylor, Alexa and Tristan who were the joy of his life.
Jisa, Valer of Tamarac, FL passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. He is survived by his wife Stela, his children Valer and Daniela, his grandchildren Juliane, Taylor, Alexa and Trisan and many family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, May 22nd at the funeral home from 5-8pm. Funeral service will also be conducted at the funeral home, Sunday, May 23rd, at 2:00pm with entombment to follow. Valer was the kind of person who could never turn down anyone asking for help. His house was always open and the table always set. He enjoyed the company of his friends, always able to provide amusing jokes and stories. If Valer had a theme song written about him, it might well have been “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” He enjoyed his life and the experience of living it. This is how everyone will remember Valer Jisa.
