She attended the Mt. Hermon Primary School, and the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and Sunday School before moving to Kingston, where she lived with her Aunt (Auntie Gladys) and worked at different jobs.
It was while in Kingston that she met and fell in love with JAMES CAMPBELL of Richmond, St. Mary.
They were married in England in 1959, and after completing nurse’s training and working in England, she left for the United States in the 1970’s to take advantage of developing opportunities in the field of nursing in New York.
She remained in Queens, New York until the 1990’s when they decided to move to Florida.
Tullie loved children, and together with her husband, James, they raised Ingrid, the baby daughter of her sister, Cynthia, and mothered and fathered several other children over the years including Verna, Marvalette and Marcia whom she adopted. And in her senior years, Tullie decided to assume responsibility as foster parent to several children and provided material care and moral support for Ashley, Stephanie, Shantelle and Maurice.
She knew God from an early age. She loved God, and her Christian faith guided her actions. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she gave generously to a million and one charities, all over the world.
Tullie will be remembered as a wonderful daughter to her parents (Papa Wally and Auntie Mammy). Caring sister to her sisters (Edna, Lurline and Cynthia) and brothers (Oscar and Oswald). Loving niece to her uncles and aunts. Generous aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews. A loving and caring mother to Ingrid, Verna, Marvalette, Marcia, Ashley, Stephanie, Shantelle and Maurice, and supportive wife to James for over 60 years.
