

Vevine was born in Kingston, Jamaica to Mr. and Mrs. Burty and Doris Stamp on December 20th 1957. She attended the Holy Childhood High School in Kingston and graduated from the University of the West Indies and Norman Manley Law School. In 1985 she migrated to the USA where she worked as an attorney-at -law with the city of New York and attended the City College of New York where she obtained a Master’s degree. In 1992 she entered into service at the United Nations where she remained until her retirement in 2019. She was a member of the Lawyers Christian Fellowship in Jamaica and the Community Church of the Nazarene, White Plains, NY. She was involved in the church and took pleasure in supporting church activities.
Vevine is preceded in death by her father Burty.
Vevine is survived by her mother Doris, her brothers David and Chester, her four nieces and other family and friends.
Viewing will be at 10:30 am on January 30th 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday January 30th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor the Rev. Dr. Leroy Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by the Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
