Viergelie Anier Delia, affectionately referred to as “Gigi” by all her friends and family was born on January 10, 1924 in Jacmel, Haiti. She was the second child of three by her father, Adanus Anier and her mother-Flerina. She was family oriented and very hospitable, she opened her arms, her heart and home to anyone in need. She moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1973 to work and support her family in Haiti. She met the love of her life, Jean Claude Delia in 1974 and they were married December 14, 1975. The union resulted in four adoptive children Brand Cajuste, Cenicia Cajuste, and Marie Ceinor (deceased) and Guerlyne Delia. Their union of 44 years was filled with love, laughter and love for God.
In addition to be being a beloved wife and mother; Gigi was a loving aunt, sister and friend. She loved her family and friends and would do anything to support them. She was lovingly cared by Anne Faurelien, who she affectionately referred to as Mantante Anne during the last seven years of her life while battling her illness.
She is survived by her husband, Jean Claude Delia, her three children Brand Cajuste, Cenicia Cajuste and Guerlyne Delia and her Sister-in-Law, Rachel Delia.
Preceded in death by her sisters Mezina Anier and Rose Anier and her brother Tion Anier, survived by her sister Ilhana Same.
Gigi was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who will mourn her loss dearly: the Cajuste Family, Anier Family, Jocelyne Saturne and Family, Lalanne Family, Ceinor Family, Bien-Aime Family, Augustin Family, Frances Jean Family, Samuel Laguerre Family, Roderick Family and Faurelien Family.
